My three month anniversary!
I have been living in London for three months as of today. My oh my, where does the time go?
I know I am terribly behind in my blog as work and play seem to take all of my time. In the interest of the high points of the last few weeks, I have decided to may a list of all the cool stuff that I have been doing or will be doing soon:
Royal Opera House performance of Duke Bluebeard’s Castle and Erwartung – fabulous, the stage, costumes, music, and of course, the voices.
Trip to the coastal town of Seaford hiking the white cliffs of Dover on a spectacular sunny and warm day in the UK. The coastline of the UK is amazing. The countryside is very beautiful as well with tons of rolling hills with huge manor houses off in the distance.
Hanging out in Brighton – way different than the last time – now packed with people and all kinds of activity on the boardwalk and the pier. It is quite reminiscent of beach towns in New Jersey, in my opinion.
Visit to Islington – north of city eating Turkish food and checking out the scene of antique shops and street festivals.
Crazy late night in Soho at GAY.
Crazy late night in Vauxhall at CRASH.
Really busy at work – I have 9 people reporting to me and soon to be more. The work is good and the days fly by. I very lucky to have some excellent folks helping me now.
Going to Rome with friends in September and staying in the ancient Roman town of Gaeta half way between Rome and Naples
Swimming in the Serpentine Lido – the lake in Hyde Park. Did that last week and seriously thinking about doing it again today.
Riding my bike around London – scary but fun.
Shopping at Fresh and Wild in early a.m. on Saturday – you can actually see all the wonderful food they have and I have a trolley to pull it back to my flat so I can buy glass bottles and keep my shoulders attached.
Early morning on Portobello Road on Saturday – flowers, jewelry, fruit, vegetables.
Going to The Marriage of Figaro at the Royal Opera House on Monday. I won a lottery for special ticket prices and will be sitting in a box seat where the ticket price is £165 and I am paying £10. I’ll be wearing a fab aqua silk asymmetrical hem dress with sparkles around the neckline and hips that I bought at a sample sale.
My landlord bought me a Miele vacuum. The best vacuums ever made and I used to have one in CO. How nice is that?
Regular yoga practice at my studio in Charing Cross called the Yoga Co-Op. They have had a great run of visiting teachers and it is quite inspiring.
Going to Ladies Day at the Royal Ascot Races in Windsor next Thursday. I have a fabulous hat…of course.
My feet are better but then I go and wear black cab shoes and start all over again.
I am certain I have missed some of the great experiences but that is what came to mind this morning. Hope anyone that reads this is having a FABULOUS day!!!
Namaste.

I have some other pics as well from late night adventures. They are on my friends share site on Kodak. You'll have to email me if you haven't seen them and want to.
